A statement from the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) said that Acerbi had spoken to national team manager Luciano Spalletti and his teammates to explain his version of events, and while the defender argued there was no “defamatory, denigrating or racist intent on his part,” it was agreed he should be left out of the squad “in order to let things settle for the national team and the player himself.”

Only one similar hill configuration – in Indonesia’s Java – is known of in the world, according to UNESCO, which has placed the Chocolate Hills on its tentative list for world heritage status.

The hills were declared a protected area by then Philippine President Fidel V. Ramos in 1997, meaning authorities are bound by law “to protect and maintain its natural beauty and to provide restraining mechanisms for inappropriate exploitation.”

But images of the new resort among the hills have stirred anger and ignited debate over whether the Southeast Asian country is doing enough to safeguard the environment.

Germany will be the host for the Euro 2024 men’s championship, taking place this June and July. Adidas will supply the kits for seven national teams, including the German, Italian and Spanish teams.

In just under three years’ time, however, fans will see Nike’s trademark ticks, not the three stripes of Adidas, on the shirts of Germany’s national teams. German economy minister Robert Habeck reportedly told local news agency DPA Friday that he could “hardly imagine” the prospect.

The partnership between Adidas and German football was a “piece of German identity,” he was reported as saying. “I would have liked a bit more local patriotism.”

Adidas was founded in 1949 in Herzogenaurach, a small town outside Nuremberg in south-east Germany, the same year it registered its now-iconic three-stripe logo.

The footballer’s defense team had appealed to Brazilian authorities to allow Robinho to serve his jail time in Italy, rather than Brazil and to remain free while all appeal proceedings are ongoing, according to the STF decision.

Robinho has always denied the charges.

Following Thursday’s arrest Robinho is expected to face a custody hearing on Friday before being sent to a detention facility to being his prison sentence according to CNN Brasil.

“We require the Indian side to cease any action that may complicate the boundary question … the Chinese military remains highly vigilant and will resolutely defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity,” a Defense Ministry spokesperson said last week, using the Chinese name “Zangnan” or South Tibet to refer to Arunachal Pradesh.

A treasure hunter struggling with faulty equipment has unearthed a gold nugget believed to be the largest ever found in England.

Richard Brock discovered the gold nugget, weighing 64.8 grams (2.3 ounces), in the country’s Shropshire Hills near the border with Wales, auction house Mullock Jones said Thursday.

However, it almost seemed that luck had eluded Brock, whose equipment almost failed him on the day of the dig.

Приморский районный суд продлил всем подсудимым меры пресечения на полгода, что оспаривается адвокатами в вышестоящих судах.

Всем подсудимым предъявлены обвинения как в мошенничестве (ч. 4 ст. 159 УК РФ) и создании « финансовой пирамиды » (ч. 2 ст. 172.2 УК РФ), так и в организации преступного сообщества (ч. 3 ст. 210 УК РФ). Их, а также гражданских ответчиков — прежде всего кооператив « Бест Вей » — защищают почти два десятка адвокатов.

МВД объявляло, что на скамье подсудимых — руководители « Лайф-из-Гуд », однако независимые наблюдатели выражают в этом сомнения. Для вступления в кооператив каждый клиент должен был сделать безвозвратный взнос в размере от €1 тыс. до €2 тыс. Далее требовалось накопить на счете в «Бест Вей» до 35–50% от стоимости выбранной квартиры, и только после этого пайщика ставили на очередь на приобретение жилплощади. Таким образом, квартира первому очереднику доставалась исключительно за счет вложений последующих пайщиков. При этом право собственности оформлялось на «Бест Вей» и переходило к конечному владельцу лишь после выплаты оставшейся суммы. Привлекательность этой схемы, по мнению ее авторов и самих клиентов, заключалась в гораздо меньших переплатах по сравнению с обычной ипотекой. Впрочем, признанные по этому делу пострадавшими теперь говорят, что деятельность «Бест Вей» фактически заключается лишь в перераспределении денег между пайщиками.

По информации ГУ МВД России по Петербургу и Ленобласти, с 2014 по 2022 год только 237 вкладчиков смогли полностью выкупить свои квадратные метры у потребкооператива. Притом что в пользование им было передано 2478 квартир.
